Nigel Gibson is an activist, an author and an expert on the writings one of the most influential writers of all time, Franz Fanon, who inspired generations of activists across the world with ‘Black Consciousness’ – a counter narrative to racist imperial and colonial elitism.
We first met him in Belfast in 2017 and he connected us to Abahlali baseMjondolo – the Shack Dwellers movement in South Africa – about whom Nigel wrote the book ‘Fanonian Practices in South Africa: From Steve Biko to Abahlali baseMjondolo (2011)’
